GIʎNT (Giant) is the trademark brand of Ciambella Legnami, a company that has been operating since 1946 in Bastia Umbra, located in the Umbria region of Italy. The company has established its name in the global wood flooring industry by producing solid wood parquet with exceptionally large dimensions and remarkable thickness. GIʎNT products, with their 20mm thickness, unprecedented length and width, and use of authentic precious woods, fundamentally differ from conventional parquet flooring.
The history of Ciambella Legnami dates back to 1946 when its founder Adelio Ciambella established the first contacts for importing timber from Austria and Yugoslavia. After strengthening business relationships, the first warehouse was built in Assisi near Perugia – a region known as “The Green Heart of Italy.” In 1999, Adelio’s children Giuseppe and Daniela, inspired by their father’s experience, created the GIʎNT brand, which was a unique product distinct from all parquet flooring available in the market at that time.
GIʎNT was initially produced exclusively with European wood species. However, thanks to the company’s extensive experience in importing exotic and tropical wood species, it now offers 26 precious and exclusive wood species. The GIʎNT Tiles collection is made from 20mm solid hardwood planks that are cut to various fixed lengths and arranged in decorative patterns to create a mosaic effect. The GIʎNT Primitive collection features handcrafted Oak wood with innovative processing systems that add new tactile and visual perceptions to the primal charm of this wood species.
